During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
A number of civilians were injured while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.
Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.
Moscow has intensified assaults on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.
"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and applying restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.
Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles struck the country's power systems, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.
The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.
A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.
Multiple people injured in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.
Local officials said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were injured.
The assaults come after nights of air raids in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.
All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.
National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.
